Does this sound like Meniere’s?

I have always had a problem with vertigo. Last year, I was bedridden for 4 months.  Since then, I have had a chronic issue with feeling off balance and still get vertigo, at times. Lately, I’ve been blowing my nose a lot and sitting at the computer often, and it seems to be getting worse again.

I don’t know that these things are related in any way. However, I was wondering if any of this sounds typical of Meniere’s disease?

Hi Lynn yes it does but you don't mention any other symptoms regarding your illness how are your ears is one feeling like pressure is building up tinnitus in one ear or both more importantly have you had any test have you had the chair test Regards John

I have not had th chair test and I lnow that I could never get through it. I spoke to a soctor about balance testing before and he casually said that if the aymtpoms caused by the test don’t subside, he’d just cut the nerve, leaving out the fact that I’d become deaf!

I also know that these tests are often inconclusive. I was told that hearing loss is not part of the criteria but I have seen otherwise here. If itnis, than I’m barking up the weong tree with Meniere’s.

Yes hearing loss is one of the main symptoms it needs investigating because a clue is your sinuses may be linked to your ear like an infection Regards John

Hi Lynn. Have you seen an ent specialist?  It could be Meniere’s but there are so many vestibular disorders. You really need to get a firm diagnosis as there are medication/treatments which may help. If you can control attacks then damage to hearing is lessened and obviously qualify of life improves. I hope you are able to seek the help you need.

    Dear Lynn,

I want to tell you that you may be WIFI Sensitive.  I have had severe Vertigo Menieres, and also was said to have Fibromyalgia.  On a Cruise to Alaska last year, ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS DISAPPEARED.

When I mentioned this to my Doctor, he told me, "Perhaps you are WIFI Sensitive".  I am not sure where the exact disconnect between Science and Medicine took place, but, i had the smart Meter taken off of my home, and also purchased a Cottage in the Woods, All to get away from WIFI.  I hardly use a Cell phone, and allow one hour per day on the computer.  I feel WONDERFUL, in Norwood Michigan, as opposed to Miami Florida.

Cell Phones make me sick, so I left that world behind.  The Good news is:  You can Self Test, and go away from WIFI towers and high density populations, and see if you feel better.  If you do, then, Look at EMFSensitivity and stay away from Cell Phones....You will feel better!!!    Good Luck and God Bless You
