dear members, i hope you're having an o.k day. i am asking for help not for myself but my sister, sorry this post has some sensitivity to it. my sister has ibs bought on by excess work stress. she was not told specifically what it was but it's ibs d i think. can people explain if anyone else gets pain where your womb would be when you need the toilet? (ladies may know gents maybe not). would this them make you want to keel over with the pain? as ibs is easy to say, like doctors saying it's a virus go home and drink fluids it's the same with ibs. what are the differences between this and other bowel related issues? (like ibd, ulcerative colitis etc). help? the poor girl's in agony daily. thanks.

Sounds more like a gynaecological problem, rather than IBS. Has her poo consistency changed at all?

If shes been in agony daily since last year and still having pain over the uterus, she should see her doctor again . She possibly needs to be checked by a gynaecologist. Has she had any CT scans or ultrasound scans?

hi marina, my sister has seen lots of specialists so i believe, they feel they can't get to the bottom of what is happening. they have offered lots of possible reasons for her pains and ill health. only 1 doctor has put all the information together. it's hard as she's struggling so much with lots of things. she just seems to be in so much pain. does fibro cause pain everywhere? can ibs start suddenly?
