That is a theory I've heard some.  I've heard weight lifters use it.  The only natural product that ever helped me was eating 4-5 oz daily of white button mushrooms.  That's a lot but it worked some.  It became a burden and I could never find it in capsule or powdered form.  All the the mushrooms don't have the same properties.  Must be white button.

Even if it did, personally I'm not sure I'd want to play around with anything hormonal unless my doctor prescribed it!

Your getting estrogen or chemicals that create it in the foods you eat. If i recall soy raises estrogen levels and it's used in everything.

If I remember right, soy does not raise estrogen levels but does have ingredients that mimic estrogen, which is a very different thing. They bind to cellular estrogen receptors without causing most of the effects of estrogen. If you look at the research, soy use follows reduced breast cancer risk whereas estrogen therapy increases breast cancer risk. I very much doubt that soy is the culprit here, more likely it is a benefit. Cows milk does have estrogen, especially since cows now produce commercially marketed milk even while they are pregnant with their calves and their estrogen levels are soaring. A switch to soy milk or some other plant-based milk would be a benefit if you are looking to reduce estrogen.
