Dog bite, given two injections

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help.

i received a dog bite today and ended up going to hospital as all feeling has been lost in part of my hand.

They did a few things but part of this was two injections, one in each arm.

Now i remember them saying one is tetanus but for life of me cant remember what the other was!!

Would anyone have an idea of what the second would be!?

just curious as each person i have spoken to has been shocked i had 2 injections.

i know it is a strange one, but wondered if someone knows what this might have been.

thank you

Ron

    Antibiotic?

If you are in a rabies free country like UK then it was highly unlikey to be rabies vaccine.

If you are in UK you can phone A/E where you had the injections and ask the question. It will have been recorded. Was it 2 different people who gave the injections or the same person? Eventually your GP should receive notification of your visit to A/E so you could ask him/her.
