Doh nut cushion

Hi I have been looking at getting a do'h nut cushion for my osteoarthritis in the spine lower back and wonder if any one thinks they help or not when sitting down, I know there are different types on the market and didad not know what one to go for and wanted some help so I'm not wasting money.

Thanks for your help

No-one has replied to your post, Paul, so presumably no-one on here has bought one.  I personally use a very fat soft cushion to sit on in the car.  I did sit on a 'donut' in the local health shop but found it too hard.  I take my cushion everywhere, to restaurants, in the park (benches VERY hard), etc.

Of course, I'm an old woman so people probably put me down as 'fussy', 'excentric' (no worse, I hope)!

I can imagine no man doing this!!

    Happy sitting (it's a b......, isn't it)?

I am a 34 year old guy but yes I have tried what you do but with no luck I am worried about going on holiday due to this as I can't sit down for long as it hurts ;-(

      Thank you

      Hi Paul,

The Physio's gave me a cushion like you describe and for me it made things worse. It  felt very hard to sit on although it wasn't hard if you know what I mean, it kind of compressed and was most uncomfortable.

I have Osteoarthritis amongst other things and can't sit for very long before I seize up.  I find sitting on anything but the settee or armchair most uncomfortable.

Are you in touch with the Physio's, I'm sure they could loan you one or two to try out.  Good luck.

No my doctors have not sent me told me it was a waste of time, they are trying to close them all round here, yet they have a year waiting list! I have now ordered another shape as my mum has ordered me the do'h nut one :-)

It's terrible the way they are trying to close everything that is necessary!

Well hopefully one of the cushions will be suitable for you, I know how painful it can be so good luck.
