Dominant hand Carpal tunnel surgery!

Ok so I was diagnosed with CTS very bad in my dominant hand and it is in my other hand just wasn’t as bad, so with that being said I had surgery Tuesday the 10 and I already told the surgeon my other hand had started hurting as well before surgery but now after surgery I’m not sure if it’s made it worse since I have had to rely on my other hand as much as I can! My question is can it worsen that quick since I’ve had to rely on that hand as much as I can An should I go ahead An tell my doctor since I’m already off work they found it to be work related it’s like I’m going through the pain all over again what to do?

They also did a steroid shot in my left hand it didn’t help or it aggravated it if that’s possible!!

I had both wrists and elbows done 3 years ago and I'm currently having horrible pain and numbness again. I didn't know it would come back. Good luck

I wonder why there is no other option than getting the operation... Has your doctor mentioned any alternatives?

My husband had both his wrists operated on about 10 years ago, re-curring: much worse than ever before. Also sudden on-set from the beginning of the year.  He wishes not to get any steroid-injections or any steriod-treatment as the side-effects are scary.  Osteopath-fisio doesn't give any relief.  MRI-scans were done - we are waiting on the specialist's interpretation....  So scary.

Hi Sandra I did'nt want surgery either and started looking for an alternative I did'nt take the steriod injections either. I have CTS since a distal radius fracture October, 2016 injury in a car door. I had the conduction tests three weeks ago I have grade 5 severe trapped nerve damage in my left hand, and moderate severe median nerve damage in my right wrist. I am recommended to get a CP release asap. I am presently trying out "The Carpal Solution" its gently stretches the compressed nerves in the carpal tunnel when you wear at night. I have been trying this out now for three weeks with good results. It has helped I only have this on my left injured wrist as the more the nerve studies showed moderately severe nerve damage in the right I do not have smyptoms of CTS. It is early days yet I will keep you posted regarding the progress I am hopefull I do not want a procedure it is not always successful. You could watch videos from people who have used "The Carpal Solutions" who state the are cured etc., find or follow at
