Don't despair, these things will help you. x

Following on from the great advice by Clark (below) and some medical research, I have found some good quality items that have really helped to reduce this condition and ease the itching. I know how stressful this condition is, but don't despair, it will go away. I'm on day 12 and from day 9 I really found the right combination to zap this bu**er!!
- Take a good quality antihistamine (for allergies) twice a day (Doc says this is fine to do, even though they are "1 a day"
- Zinc oxide for the itching. I bought Burt's Bees Baby diaper ointment on Amazon. It's a high concentration and the very best thing to reduce the redness and itching - massively:)
- Aveeno moisturiser. I tried the cream, the lotion and the after-shower mist. The cream was too greasy for me, the lotion so-so (probably good for the recovery phase) and the shower mist was great to cool and get the back area! Eumovate dermatitis cream is a steroid based cream you can buy over the counter (Doc suggested), but I was unsure having read side affects and use..... your call......
- Avoid direct heat. Sun rays are said to help (not much of that around right now and don't think neighbours would appreciate the view!), but definitely not hot bath/showers.
- Wear loose cotton clothing in thin layers and keep cool in bed - sweating will exacerbate the condition.
- Eat chocolate. ok, made that up, but hey give us a break Pity-whats-it!
Good luck, don't let it beat you x
