am on vacation at a resort. been taking anxiety meds sporatically. having an alchoholic drink is hard not to have here. some docs say ok in moderation, the internet scares the bejeezus out of me. any advice?

    By now you will have decided what to do. Not judging at all, just giving my opinion, not a good idea.

    From my experience, I've drank on moderate doses of sertraline before (an SSRI - no obvious effects), the only thing I wouldn't drink with again is propranolol (a beta blocker), I remember I just had one or two shots and immediately felt really woozy and weird. The same happened to my sister but she was on huge doses of everything. I think I'd trust what doctors say more than internet people with health anxiety - I guess there might be some harm long term, just like drinking alcohol in general - but if there were short term effects that you didn't like you'd just choose to stop drinking like I did with propranolol

    I really wouldnt mix the two impairs your recation times and senses

    compared to typical drinker.

    hi again. not that it makes a big difference, but im taking ativan, not anti depressants. im finding it difficult not to have a drink. its a family wedding at a destination so lots of parties going on. thanks for all your input.
