I have suffered from left abdominal pain.

In 2013 I had a hernia op, 2010 I had adhesions from an operation I had for appendicitis. Feels like since last year abdomen never felt good

I had scope and ct last year in October and all was normal including biopsies however I still get irritating discomfort in left a abdomen and left lower back

It does concern me still - can anyone please she some light on what this could be or if this could be more sinister. 38 yr old male with 2 young boys and am pooping myself

You might have diverticulos. You normally get pain on the left side. I know I do. They can tell if you have a colonoscopy. Good like and most of all don't stress. You have had a lot of scare tissue there. They can also cause pain. Keep us informed 😊

Thank you. I had a CT scan which showed no diverticulosis but the discomfort is there more now then before the scope!

Can a scope make things worse?

I am due to talk to doctor tomorrow so will let you know. How can this be relieved if it is diverticulitis? Starting to ruin my days!!

I don't know about whether scans can cause the pain. I have diverticulos and I was always in pain. I went to a Naturalpath. I have stopped all wheat/sugars ( gluten) and the pain stopped. I every so often have a little pain but I then go on a low diet eating soups for a few days and it settles. Try and have more fibre and keep your bowels moving. Keep me in touch 😊
