So about 4 weeks ago i went to the doctors with the same symptoms only i also had patches under my foreskin like this. He looked at them briefly and said it looks like it might be herpes, nu further tests were done and he told me i could take antivirals if i wanted to for 5 days, i did that and that's 3 weeks ago now. Never had any blisters with liquid in them or anything, i don't really know what to think at this point

With my limited knowledge of STD's / STI's this would not seem to be any of the typical Herpes outbreaks.
I think it best if you go to a Sexual health Service provider and get this checked as soon as you can in your local area ....

Hi thanks for your reply, i went back to the doctor yesterday he also said that his initial diagnosis might have been wrong, brought in a urine and blood sample today so i'll have the results soon.

i'm sorry don't know why that happend ! So my blood values were all normal and they found chlamydia in my urine, could this have caused these red patches? He also told me to keep using the daktarin and said that he would still let me know if i have another infection or something

I think it may have also caused reactive arthritis for me since at the same time that i got symptoms my left ankle was swollen out of nowhere and i could barely support weight on it

Update: I got prescribed a pill of fluconazole as well and that seems to have sped up the process, only the edges of the red patches remain. Should i still be worried about them growing back together ? I'm so anxious bc it's been going on forever that i feel like i might have irrational thoughts ! It's def getting better i'm just so paranoid it'll get worse again

You need to take the full course / amount of fluconazole that were prescribed to you in the way you were directed to use it.
If it does not completely resolve the issue go back to the person who prescribed you the fluconazole.

Doctor told me to call him wednesday, it's improved drastically overnight the day that i took the fluconazole, he only prescribed one pill ! The discharge is def also getting better, i just feel like it was better saturday tho than it is today, feel like the rash is still putting up a fight trying to get together again, still applying daktarin to !

I think the Doctor is going to need to give you some ongoing medication to fully clear this. you may also need to see a Dermatologist .....

Dear dries,
It's more likely to be a skin disorder than an STD. For example, do you have an existing skin condition like eczema or psoriasis or taken some new medication before you noticed these red patches develop (not aciclovir, obviously)?
You would probably benefit from Daktacort ointment and treatment of the underlying skin condition, if you have one.

Hi, my dad has psoriasis, as far as i know i don't ! The doctor did call me after my appointment yesterday and told me to get daktarin cream indeed, started with it yesterday. Also brought in blood and urine samples today, fingers crossed

Good to hear! Psoriasis is hereditary; so if you are isolating with your dad, ask him to show you his skin psoriasis and see if you have anything similar, e.g. scaly rash on elbows, knees, ankles; dandruff or bumpy scales on scalp. I would humbly suggest you ask your doctor to prescribe Daktacort instead, which contains 1% hydrocortisone + antifungal if Daktarin doesn't work. Your rash does not look like thrush.

Is it normal though to have discharge with psoriasis ? I will keep it in mind, thanks a lot for your help, really hoping this'll be behind me quickly, having this sort of thing not knowing what it is, being quarantined at the same time. It def gets in your head

Dear dries,
I think all your problems can be tied up together as follows:
They come together as "Reiter's syndrome" (aka reactive arthritis). FYI Hans Reiter was a German physician (1881-1969) indicted for war crimes (Wiki).

Yea took the 1 gram of antibiotics saturday and applying daktarin, it's been going slow. The discharge is definitely getting better but the spots are really taking there time to break down it seems. Just need to be patient probably but it's been going on for so long
