Don't Understand CT Results.

My gf had been having significant pain in her right side just under her ribs for about 2 weeks now. Finally got her to go to er where they did xrays and CT scan. The ER didn't really explain the results just said her liver was inflamed and prescribed mobic and antibiotic for a uti and told her to make a follow up appointment with her regular doctor. Well I was confused as to what was actually the problem so I am reading the results and don't understand what they mean. Google is just worrying me( as Google does) Can anyone explain them to me. They are as follows.

Patient is Female. Age 38.

Heart is normal in size. Patch linear opacities of the bilateral lung bases.

Liver is borderline in size. Small hypodensity focus of the segment 7 inferiorly. No abnormal enhancement noted. Hepatic vessels are patent. Diffuse peripheral edema. Spleen is normal in size. Without focal abnormality. Pancreas, gallbladder and adrenal glands are grossly normal. Kidneys are symmetric without hydronephrosis. No gross focal renal abnormality is evident.

Aorta is caliber. Major branches are patent. Bladder is grossly normal. Uterus is at anteverted position. Cystic structure of the left posterior pelvis measures 4.6 cm in diameter. Right ovary is limited.

Mesentery stranding is evident. Small mesenteric lymph nodes present. No intraperitoneal free air or free fluid. Bony structure unremarkable.

If anyone can help explain any of this.  It would be greatly appreciated. She is in a lot of pain when she moves.

You should possibly have an ultrasound of your liver. This will determine if you have Cirrhosiss or to what degree. Do you have any pain on the left side? This is from an enlarged spleen which is common with cirrhosiss. Called Speenomegly. Remember to avoid all alcohol and mouthwashs with alcohol in them.
