Don't understand what's causing this?

Hi, I am new here but I couldn't find any other place to post this and see if anyone else knows what is happening.

For the past two nights I have woken up at 3 in the morning, legs being funny and feels like I can't walk, then I slide myself out of my bed with duvet over me and get on the floor and sleep there for a few hours and then get back into bed and carry on my sleep. I am worried that its going to happen every night and I am scared to go to bed tonight. I don't know what to do, should I go to my doctor about it or see if it gets better or worse.

It feels like my legs have been amputated and I can't stand or walk and my stomach ends up hurting. I just don't want to wake everyone up as I tend to be screaming as well while this is all happening. Has anyone got any suggestions?

This could be due to any number of things but the usual ones are trapped nerves or something cutting off the blood supply. As this has only happened 2 nights so far it may be something quite temporary but if it continues for more than a week or so you should talk to your doctor. Have you tried changing your sleeping position?

    Are you overweight?

Do you drink alcohol before going to bed so that you fall into a very deep sleep?

Do your legs feel OK during the day?
