Hi Everybody

this is just a thought .... i am only post op thursday 19th.... do any of you sit on a donut/rubber ring for comfort. i am finding sitting on a dining chair a little hard and uncomfortable for eating and on the sofa i am sitting on my side slightly so only on a butt cheek

    I sat on a cushion for several weeks after my op as sitting on a hard chair was extremely uncomfortable but it does get better. So I'd say go for it,whatever makes life more comfortable for you

    I heard that they stopped using the ring as it they found it did more harm don't know if that help but if your uncomfy maybe try a really soft pillow to sit on

    Hi,after my op last year I found a memory foam donut ring really helpful to sit on,also later on I bought a square medical approved memory foam cushion for the car,it really helped when going over bumps,make sure you buy the best though as recommended on medical sites as some cheaper ones do not come in the same thickness and give little support. Hope this helps. :-)

    I will look into both- not using as might do more harm and buying a memory foam donut and medical cushion for the car... thank you ladies most appreciated x

    I found sitting straight up on a firm chair was better than reclining back a bit.  As well, try the sits bath soak several times a day for the first week.  Laying on the bed is the best.  I wish someone had told me too.
