Doppler scan.

I was sent for a doppler scan by my GP on Tuesday everything i read said it was with an ultrasound probe, when i had it done it was with blood pressure cuffs on my arms and ankles the person doing the test called it a doppler. Does anyone have any information?

    I don't know about the dabbler designation, but my heart doctor performs a test with wraps on my ankles to test the blood flow in my legs. If the flow is not strong enough, that could cause problems with my feet, 

    I'm doing ok. Now. I had to have a stint  because of blockage. I was having trouble with my leg  and couldn't  walk around the block, No pain in feet though.

    sounds very strange to me...I know what ultra sound is and doppler...and that's not it.

      Doppler is a diagnostic tool that measures  reflected sound waves often used in checking patent blood flow.
