    hey John.

your doc and most people will say that it will be fine to take 2 different brands. my partner has different brands all the time and she is fine.

everytime I've had a different brand it has given me side effects and set me back until I went back to my original.

some people are more sensitive to the meds and dont get on with certain brands. my advice would be stick to the one you've always been taking because you might be fine but why risk it just incase.

tell your pharmacy you would like to swap for your usual brand and they should be fine

hi john 😃 I get different brands every time. but to me it makes no difference at all. but my old man on the other hand hates it when they change brand. think everyone reacts differently. I have just upped my dose from 50 to 75. and I did get side effects and feel slightly worst. but it was nothing like when I first started them. and I'm feeling better now and so glad I did go up. just hang in their abd things will get better 😃

I agree about different brands, Im on Lustral and the chemist gave me a generic brand as it was a third of the cost, about a week into taking it I had all the symptoms back worse than ever, so I rang GP and she asked, has anything happened to bring me down or make me anxious etc., "no" she asked had I dropped back on the level I was taking, "no" I said the only thing is Ive changed to a generic brand and she said "there you go thats whats going on" Bless her she went onto explain, its like making bread, every bread needs yeast to rise, but then not every cake has all other ingredients the same!!

so I went back onto Lustral and all settled down again after a few days.

afterwards I wondered and have posted here before, IF generic tablets do the same as the expensive brand, then why would a GP put you on, in my case Lustral in the first place?!!

anyway, hope you are back on track soon, you are in the right place here as there are so many kind and wonderful people on here that have gotten me through some very rough days & still do from time to time. Also what I love is no question is a stupid question and no one judges you, they just help by sharing their journey.

feel better soon, it gets better it just takes time x
