Double vision, hand spasms, fatigue

Hiya, I'll try and keep it short.
I'd see my GP but we aren't on great terms due to him dismissing a lot of mine and my fathers issues with "It's Stress" or antibiotics.
The last 3 weeks I've had very bad fatigue, it's been difficult to stay awake for more than 4 hours at a time. I've also developed numbness, twitching/tremors and sharp pains in my fingers and hands. Today I woke up with double vision in one eye and I've also had recurrent headaches for the past 3 weeks.
As well as this, I've had spells of dizziness/weakness and getting recurrent palpitations. I'm under very little stress at the minute, as I'm finished with college and work. My diet isn't amazing, but I've have blood tests in the past with similar symptoms and everything was normal. However everything is a lot more extreme this time around, and leaving the country for 2 weeks with how I feel now is something of a concern.
Any advice is appreciated, I will likely visit my GP anyway but I hate bothering him unless something is serious and any tests they would do would be after the trip anyway
Thanks.

Hiya thanks for the reply.
I had an eye test on 3 weeks ago, which was about 5 days before the problems started (annoyingly) so I had no chance to ask. Everything was healthy anyway according to him.
Not had any tests recently, I had similar symptoms but nowhere near as extreme about 2 years ago. I had a blood test which initially came back with 'some issues' that weren't disclosed, but on retaking it the results were 'within normal ranges'.

Have you been tested for diabetes? Those blood tests done 2 years ago should be repeated. Those readings that showed "some issues" may now show some definite issues. If your diet contains a lot of sugar and carbohydrates, try cutting back. Fruit and salads are better.

It was a concern to me the last time, as my father always told me to check for signs of diabetes. Before my last blood test I mentioned it to my GP, but he said it wasn't likely at my age and weight. When I asked again about a year after, he said that unless I had the hallmark signs of increased thirst and urination that there was no chance of being diabetic.
My father however said that my family has a history of it and he once got me some urinalysis sticks for glucose which I used to use regularly. However, I've been told that high readings don't particularly mean anything and they are generally a waste of money and time. Mine always came back negative back then regardless (2 years ago) and I never had cause to buy more.
