double whammy

i had F/S on my right arm , i had physio , pills , injections none of which worked , eventually i had an operation which thank god worked . from start to finish it lasted 18 months and when it was over i was so relieved . but now i have the same condition in my left arm which is steadily getting worse , i am seeing a physio but like the last time it isnt having much effect. i am currently unemployed but dare not get a job as i am a manual worker and fear the worse. however i am being pressurised by the jobcenter into getting work and face being sanctioned and having benefits stopped if i dont get  a job . did i mention thanking god earlier ? maybe he was asleep at the time .

Sorry to hear that. I believe it is not unusual  for both shoulders to  be affected. The best thing you can do, is ask your GP for an X-ray and take it from there.

    good luck.

my GP arranged for me to see a physio about 6 weeks ago who has given me various excercises to do at home , although they have helped , as soon as i stop doing them , when i go to bed , in the morning it is like groundhog day and i am back to square one

I feel for you, as it is very difficult not feeling well enough to work. As one who has worked all my life, I feel lazy and guilty. Need to get over that and just find out what's within the realm of possible.

...wondering if you can teach others rather than doing the manual labor yourself? Many young people are looking for apprenticeships and that sort of thing.

thanks for your support :-) F/S is so annoying because i dont look ill or anything unless i jerk my arm or slip or do certain movements , last week i slipped over messing about with the dog "ouch" i gotta try and be more carefull because that was very painfull as your probably already aware . i also like you feel lazy and guilty , dont really wanna go on the sick but if it keeps up i think i will have to . P.S the physio recommended using a wheatsack which i bought from WILKINSONS , only cost a £1 , heat it up in microwave and just lay it on the shoulder , does have some effect , seems to stop it aching so much .
