Doubts about Esophagitis

Hi,  I have always suffered from acid reflux and had 5 endoscopies in the last 18 years for different complaints, reflux, spasms, globus feeling, burning sensasation when swallowing.   In the first one they diagnosed hiatus hernia, the endoscopies I had after that very first one couldn't see the hiatus hernia.  . In the last one just over a year ago when my main complain was burning when swallowing salty foods they even took a swap to test for Helicobacter but it was negative.

Now my symptoms are that every time I swallow salty, spicy, tomato base sauces and pizza I get a burning feeling  when the food passes down  by the sternum and sometimes left side.  I went to the digestive because I read recently that burning sensation when swallowing it's a symptom of Oesophagus cancer.  He gave me the choice to have an endoscopy but I had one just over a year ago I don't know what to do.

Does anybody experiences burning sensation when salty, acidic or spicy foods pass the esophagus? I don't get the burning with bland foods. I am not taking any medications at the moment just kefir to restore the good bacteria in the stomach, a natural remedy for acid reflux that I read on the internet.

Thank you

    Hi there

I don't mean to be rude but as you state you have a reflux problem why do you want to eat spicy foods, especially tomato based, I would have thought these would be a no no??

I don"t think you will get any answers unless you have an endoscooy at least you will kbow for sure whats going in.

    Good luck
