I recently went back to my doctor as I believed I had MD. He said, its not MD yet, but could be the start of something similar. It's like its inflammed and I have to keep it under control.
Symptoms include not feeling well, fullness in ear. Was dizzy at the time, but not so dizzy now.
He put me on a steroid nasal spray. 2 squirts twice a day. I have improved alot since then but I am starting to run out and forgot to take a dose this week.
I felt much worse for it, which makes me worry I am now going to be dependant on steroid spray for the rest of my life.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice as to what I should do?
Also, does anyone think at this stage I could lose my hearing? or is that only if it became alot worse..

Hi, I was diagnosed with MD earlier this year, you really need to see a specialist your doctor is probably not qualified enough to diagnose your symptoms. steroids are not really good to be on long term usually your given as you'll see from many sufferers betahistine tablets. Also I have found that having no salt on my food has helped. I compensate with pepper. MD is diagnosed when you suffer from hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness. Do you have all 3 symptoms? There is no cure for this condition This site has helped me a lot I hope this has helped? Stay positive
