Dr. upped my Levo to 112 mcg, feeling lethargic again

In January, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My level was at 100. She put me on 50 mcg and I started feeling a little better. Next appointment, my level was down to 61, she upped it to 88mcg and started feeling EVEN better. Following month, my level was at 11, she upped it to 100 mcg and I hadn't felt this great in years!! I had energy and was motivated to run and exercise again. My last appointment, in May, my level was just under 4 so she upped it to 112 mcg so we could get my level to about 1-1.5. Since I've been on 112 mcg, I feel like I did in January--sluggish, lethargic, want to sleep all day. Could 12 mcg really make that much difference? My fiance says it's in my head but I don't really think so because I thought upping my meds would make me feel even better than I did on 100 mcg. Anyone having any experience with this? Thanks for reading!

The effects can vary a lot from person to person, so it is really hard to tell. 12 mcg doesn't seem like it would make such a dramatic change.
Did you notice if there is anything else going on that might be the cause for your tiredness?
If you stay on your current dose of 112mcg for 6-8 weeks and during this whole time feel as it is getting worse, just bring it up with your doctor and most likely she will put you back to 100mcg.
Before the next appointment just make sure you do your best to have everything else in check, such as your vitamin D, diet and so on

There's not much difference in mcgs.could be that the 112mcg is actually lower in dosage than the 100mcg. Generics are allowed to be "not exact" in dosage. You just never know. Maybe adding T3 5mcg would help with energy.

I have had that problem I actually do better at the higher end of the range. Every time they try to get me to a two I have hyperthyroidism symptoms and feel miserable. We are all different and the ranges are exactly that just ranges and not a standard. So if you are fine at 100mcg then stay there. If the you feel hyperactive symptoms and they dont go away by the next lab then let the dr know. Also make sure they check your free t3 and free t4. This will make a difference in showing how the medication is working in your system.
