Drained abscess - still sore after 6 weeks???

Hi all

I had a abscess drained just under my breast about 6 weeks ago. For the last few weeks I have noticed that it doesn't look like it's healing properly. One side remains purple and the other the skin still hasn't closed and I have a little gap. Well today I have pain, there look like a small white circle under the skin on the side that is purple and the other side still has a gap. What is going on?

Anyone else have issues like this with healing? Any suggestions? Don't want to go back to ER for something like this if I don't need to as goodness knows they are busy right now.
