Dreadful side effects of Valsartan

I have been very unwell following a course of Valsartan...previously I had a cancer op on my breast. The Valsartan gave me bad chest pains and inflamed the area around my operation scar ...therefore I am warning about this drug...now in the dustbin. Would be interested to know if others have experienced this

    cherry40600...are you SURE that Valsartan is the culprit??? Quite frankly, I've never heard of Valsartan causing chest pain, and/or inflammation.

    I do hope you consulted your doctor. Stopping your bp medication can be like playing Russian roullette.

      I dont have high blood pressure...it was to slow my heart down ..I still have residual pain ...and my doctor confirmed. You need to read the side effects properly

      cherry40600...say WHAT!!!?????? You were given Valsartan to slow your heart down???????? Normally, a Beta-Blocker or Calcium Channel blocker would be prescribed., NOT an ordinary bp medication.

      I am seeing my heart specialist next week...he will get it between the eyes..I am furious

    valsartan gave me esophagitis which caused me to have severe chest pain and inflammation in the esophagus. I can't take any arbs or ace meds because they all cause me to get esophagitis
