Dreading my second ESA and second PIPS ASSESSMENT!!!!

I am being hauled in yet again for another stupid illogical assessment due to having had shoulder surgery which is not progressing as hoped for. Although I cannot drive, work and definitely can't travel long distances .The assessment is an hour and a half away.I have no one to take me , live in a very remote village and more than that I am about to be asked the most irrelevant and stupid questions where they do not allow you to speak at all.

Back in August I had my ESA assessment due to Frozen shoulder for 4 years and Fibromyalgia for 8 years. Some of the questions they asked were can you walk 50 yards. can you lift an empty box, did I soil myself?

What on earth has that got to do with a frozen shoulder and Fibromyalgia. Inevitably I failed and got Zero points. In two days I have to got through the whole ridiculous procedure again. What happens to people who cannot work after surgery with a sick note saying this. Then the DWP supercede our GPS and Surgeons! !!!!!!!!!!. I could not believe two days after surgery they stopped my benefits. Then

advised /misinformed me to apply for a mandatory reconsideration. This wasted two weeks to then be told yet again that no benefits would be coming in.I dingle mother with two young sons. This certainly worsened my Fibromyalgia as it is stress related. I was hospitalised for four days last summer due to panic attacks. The DWP nearly pushed me over the edge.I spoke to 50 different people, sent in over 180 pieces of paper due to them constantly losing or.not receiving the 30 pages I had sent in. The systems were not updating on time.Which also caused a muddle

It was only when I involved my local MP that I was reinstated. Plus back in May before I had surgery and could drive .I had someone come to my house from PIPS and assess me and qualified for 2 years . It was only after doing a new claimdue to a change of circumstance that they are asking for me to do another long journey for a new assessment. So that is two long journeys for two assessments within a week.Although my GP is insisting I should.not be doing this.Watch the space.!!!!!!!

First im so sorry for you having to go through all this and with two children too.

Id be inclined to say you cant make the journey and insist some one comes to you. It wont b ein yoir favour if you try and do the journey, this will probably in itself go against you the fact you managed to get there.  Say your GP has said you shouldnt be doing this, would he/she  be willing to back you up hear with a letter? What part of the word pain dont these interigators not understand, makes me so angry, our son failed because he could sit in a chair and rais his arms and legs in a sitting positon! NO concern taken for the fact his problem was with his back making walking, sitting and standing for any length of time agony, he had plenty of back up from doctors reportsm scans and specialist.  They wernt interested at all.  As ive said hear before and im sorry for repeating myself, even our grand daughter with MS didnt get pip either and she has the agressive kind too! If they could come to your house before surgery then they come to you after surely. Good luck, your need it. If ant tooic make me feel like swearing then it this one frown

You are not able to make the journey so the PIP assessment should be done in your own home , i had it done in my home without me even asking for to be - they just sent letter saying that someone from ATOS would be calling at my home between a certain time on the day they were coming , see if you can have a chat with some at the CAB and ask for their thoughts on the matter - maybe they could contact DWP , etc on your behalf ?

Thank God they postponed but it was only the day before and by phoning them I found out as Esa have a fax machine and PIPS do not. This meant we were dealing with Christmas post delaying the GP letter ever getting there. I then got a letter this am saying new assessment would be 4th Jan and in the same post they cancelled'!!!!!!!!!!
