Drinking alcohol every night to sleep

Hi guys my sleep problem have got worse lately and for 3 weeks every night I have been drinking 4 cans of beer to get some sleep, but last night I decided not to drink and I have had no sleep at all, usually if I drink enough alcohol I get to sleep in minutes. I have had sleeping problems since September and I am so fed up with it now. I'm scared that if I don't drink tonight I will have another sleepless night. What advice can you give guys. Thanks.

What else have you tried?  Magnesium, Valerian, Lemon balm, hops, etc...?

I've tried pretty much everything natural, most have no effect on me, I was given some phenergan tablets from my doctor but you develop a tolerance quickly from them, they do work but take about an hour to kick in. Maybe I should try them tonight. I haven't had any for about 3 weeks so they should hopefully work.

Are you exercising and eating healthy?  How about using a muse, braintap, elf emmit, fischer wallace devise, etc...?

I exercise every day, walk everywhere although after sleep deprivation it felt as though I was hungover today, diet not too bad but could include more fruit and veg.. Unfortunately I have bought some more cans to drink tonight, really hope I get some sleep or I might go the hospital tomorrow. I feel terrible 40 hours awake right now.

Try reducing alcohol gradually, 3 cans a week. 2 cans a week . 1 can a week then stop

I have had tremendous benefit from the BrainTap devise and Muse devise.  I use grounding sheets, cold, dark bedroom and take magnesium and herbs to optimize my sleep after being a poor sleeper for 25 years or so.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, well I slept almost 8 hours after drinking, I know it's not ideal but it's just a relief to have actually had some sleep.
