Drop in Number

Hello all,

In three months my numbers dropped 37 points.

Im a 57 white male of Nordic decent

In July my number was 78 , I had a follow up on Oct 31st. My number dropped to 41. I have an enlarged prostate other than that I'm in perfect health, I walk and run, primarly eat a protein diet with salads. We normally don't eat beef.

I'm totally stunned, dismayed and depressed. My body fat is a little high but not obese. my heart, lungs, blood sugar levels, everything else is perfect.

I followed up with my doctor who is sending me to a specialist as well went yesterday for a third follow up test.

I further made an appointment with my uriologist

Is this normal? and is this possible to reverse? what the heck could have caused this?

Just get all blood work done and also a biopsy if need be. It maybe a temporary problem that will eventually go away. Kind of like Acute Kidney injury and not Chronic.

Thanks for the response. All my kidney numbers have gone back to normal and healthy. HOORAY

I was on TRT for 6-8 months. My PSA spiked to 3.8. I immediately went off the TRT and dropped it entirely.

Due to the stress of the kidney thing (no sleep for three days) my prostate inflamed. I'm now waiting to do another PSA. The doctors have run multiple tests CaT scans and DREs. Three different doctors all report, no problems and no issues. Healthy and normal. They all agree I have slight BPH.

One of the most recent Doctors did a flow study and scoped my bladder. I had an obstruction (scar tissue) in the urthera he had to remove. Which helped immensely

I'm now hoping this PSA drops again.
