Dropped 21st pill down the drain

I was on day 21 of my contraceptive pill ( I take 21 and have a break for 7) and unfortunately dropped the last one down the drain. I did not have any spare and as it is the weekend cannot get a prescription until next week. How should I proceed? If I start taking my next packet when I’m supposed to after my 7 day break will this be effective contraception. How long should I use alternate protection as I didn’t take my 21st pill?
