Dropped laptop on toe, got Subungual Hematoma

So i dropped my laptop on my toe, got a subungual hematoma and was just going to let it take its course, but now the skin below the nail has blood in it and is slightly puffed. should i see a doctor now or is this normal?

    UGH... that looks so painful! I'd go see a doc... just my opinion!

    Take a hot needle and burn through your nail. Sounds like something you shouldnt do but my friend smashed his nail before and went to the hospital they basically did the same thing.
