Drowning in suicidal thoughts

Posted , 7 users are following.

Day after day, week after week, I just can't get rid of these thoughts.  They are taking over my life.  Reached a point that listening to them is the only way out.  Nothing seems to help.  All this has to end sometime right?

    Hi mami5

Yes all this will end, its honestly about the right combination for resistent depression. Keep pestering your GP and make a fuss if needs be. You need something to make you feel better, right now you have not been lucky in finding it. It must be difficult if not impossible to imagine yourself well. But you will be! Start by getting a gp appointment and being very clear that the medication is not working. Then be very forceful in demanding a specialist meds review along with a commitment that your health is monitored frequently. Don't give up maimi .. The right med to bring your sunshine back is certainly out there!

    Wishing you better

    god bless

Hi Lorraine.  Thank you for your reply.  I have BPD for which there is no cure or meds, unfortunately.  Suicidal thoughts is a trait of BPD as well as self harm, which I also participate in by overdosing.  Been told several times I'm lucky to be alive, I disagree.  Sorry xxxx

      Bless you mami ♥

Are there no combination meds that allow you to manage the illness? Is it a personality disorder? Surely in today's world there must be something to help you?

Or is it a different disorder? Regardless I am truly sorry you are feeling so bad.

      God bless x

What does BPD stand for.  I agree get in touch with your doctor.

BPD is Borderline Personality Disorder, the worse label to have, the no hopers, as there is no cure nor meds, just discrimination, especially from medicals.

Mami, I thought you were getting the help you needed, what's gone wrong?

You know that those voices are lying to you, you know that.  I hoped that you were feeling better, I am so sorry that you are back in that awful place.

Are you still in touch with your doctor and helpers?

You know what a special person you are, don't let the negative thoughts win.

I will hold you in my thoughts.

    Pat.

    Hi,

I had these feelings too and sometimes it got too much for me to handle but I promise you there is an end to all this. You need to keep being strong willed and please never give up. If needs be keep going to your GP and asking them for advice because getting help is a main part of recovering.

    It's going to get better!

    Best wishes to you smile

Dear. Dear Mami5.Please. Please lovey ...never. ever give up....

The fact that you have a problem makes absolutely no difference to the person that you are !!! Xxxxx

I have three sons .....all with mental health problems like yourself.....I was sectioned four times...on a section THREE. ( for alcoholism. )

When one of my son's was sectioned....he was in hospital for six months......I thought it was the end of the world.....but now ...my goodness. He is an independent....Healthy young man.....medication free..... he is intelligent. Caring. Just like anyone else....

Please. Please do not think of mental health problems as a stigma.....they are normally a sign of a sensitive soul....

You... are ...you....just like everyone y....you are worth as much as everyone else....and loved as much as everyone else...so please believe that you are worth as much.....and maybe even more.....because of your empathy towards others who suffer......you have touched my heart.

..you are good...kind ....Caring...and a totally....totally decent person.....big warm and truly sincere regards and hugs. Hugs. Hugs to you always.....Dee xxx xxx xxx

Hi Mami5, I am not an expert but have found that taking one day at a time, studying the bible, praying to God for holy spirit to give me peace of mind (pray through Jesus name) and keeping busy by helping others is very effective. At the end of the day you have satisfaction from what you have accomplished and at the beginning of the day a reason to get up, a sense of purpose and positive communication with others (although choose good upbuilding associates, as we are affected by who we hang out with for good or bad). Also look forward to a future without negative / suicidal thoughts. You won't have them forever. Xx
