Hi,
I can't answer the methadone question because this is a benefits forum, sorry.
As for PIP not everyone qualifies because of those descriptors. You have to prove they apply to you. Sending proof with a claim for helps. If not successful after the assessment the Mandatory Reconsideration first followed by the Tribunal. 70% of those who appear at their Tribunal win.
Also remember we only ever hear the bad stories. Those that have a decision in their favour have no questions to ask, therefore we just don't hear their story. Lots of people are successful.

Did you have a review and were refused, then took it Tribunal and still lost? If so when did your hearing for the Tribunal take place? Did you appear in person?

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that you were in that 30% of those who lose their Tribunal. That figure is actually quite low. As you most likely know by now the only way you can take it to the Upper Tribunal is if an error in law was made in making the decision. To know for sure then you will need to write to the Tribunal and ask them to send you the Statement Of reasons (SOR) and you have 1 month to do this. Once you have that then you need to find someone that specialises is finding errors in law. Not an easy thing to do and quite rare to find those.
If no errors in law were made then you can re-apply at anytime. If you re-apply i'd advice you to get some help with filling that form in.
Whilst there are lots of bad negative stories out there, there's also lots of people that do have a decision in their favour but we don't hear their story because they have to questions to ask if they are happy with their award.
