Drug free treatment on the way.

There is a new treatment on the way and should be here in the next 4-5 years.   It involves a device similar to a pacemaker which is implanted under the skin and which stimulates the vegus nerve.   Researchers have indicated it has worked well in their studies.

Thanks Tony, can you please share a link to the source of this info?

I saw it on Michael Mosley's show the other night.   The procedure is most commonly used to treat epilepsy but they have found it useful for other conditions such as multiple sclerosis and RA.   Sorry links not permitted on this forum but if you searcg for 'vegus nerve stimulation for RA' there are a few articles on the procedure.   FMT has also been used succesfully for RA.

No sorry, moderators won't allow anything to do with it; however, if you type the appropriate words in your browser, be sure to include vegus, stimulation and RA.   I saw it on TV, moderators also won't allow the name of the show.   Very helpful of them I think!
