Drug interactions

Just a heads up, everyone has different experiences and from what i’ve read most people are fine with CBD and sertraline if you leave the gap between taking them.

If you think you might be slow to metabolise the sertraline though maybe don’t combine it. I tried just a couple of drops of oil over 12 hours after taking the sertraline and have ended up with mild serotonin syndrome ☺️

It’s mainly a guess as I didn’t feel bad enough to go and get checked out. Both yesterday and today I woke up with my mind racing, couldn’t focus, very agitated but at the same time didn’t want to move. Yesterday I also had some terrible thoughts again and was bursting into tears all day. I’ve read that if the sertraline isn’t metabolised the two are competing to use the same thing in your liver and it can mean that the sertraline then causes higher levels of serotonin in your system. I didn’t take the sertraline this morning as the advice is to skip a day and I do feel a little better. Hopefully i’ve done the right thing! 😊
