I would recommend coming off your nerve drugs; all of them are highly toxic. Even if they help your nerve pain, they often give you more problems than you started with. I have neuropathy in both hands and arms. Sometimes it runs down my leg into my foot. I take nothing for it and had to be very firm in telling my doctor I didn't want anti depressants. He was very determined to get me on these medications. For me, the best treatment is constant heat which makes my neuralgia completely disappear.

I have tried other things
Unfortunately I'm stuck on them as my pain is quite severe and unbearable otherwise.

Sometimes, I go through really painful flare ups too but I have had it so long I am used to living with it. The pain, tingling and numbness has become the norm. Cold, damp weather make it worse. Have you tried heat treatment?
