dry, itchy GA?

I was diagnosed with GA almost a year ago. It started in only 2 areas and was really slowly to progress and neither spot looked like the other. Those were the only 2 areas I had it on, until about a week ago when it seemed everywhere just broke out, and fast too, but they seem more like dry itchy patches along with the raised spots. Is this normal?

That is the same kind that I used to get.  Raised and itchy.  I would scratch so much that I would bleed, then scabs, then scratched those off.  Sort of a vicious cycle.  It seemed like the drier I could keep the areas, the better they were.  I no longer have GA as of a few months now.  I had it for about 12 years.  I believe it has something to do with the fact that I started taking Vit E.  I started taking Vit E daily and it lessened and even disappeared.  When I didn't take it for a few days I had a flare up, but it went away again after taking it regularly.  I can tell, however, that it is suppressed and not cured because every so often I will get an itching blistery bump in random places, but they don't last and don't spread.

This is my first post.  I've had GA for about two years, mostly on my thighs only.  I've read all of the posts from everyone.  It seems that several have had some success with putting it in remission but with different solutions. A couple eliminated wheat from their diet which I'm trying now.  One said vitamin B12 helped and now vitamin E.  I think the vitamins are definitely worth a try.  I'm thinking about seeing an allergist as my dermatologist doesn't seem very helpful.  I'm also wondering if it could be a medication I'm on.  Are any of you on any of these medications?  Zyrtec, Atorvastatin, Valacyclovir, vitamin D, gummy vitamins?

Me again.  Also my GA is not itchy.  I don't even know it's there until I see it in the mirror, but I can feel the raised bumps.

Hi. I have had it for 3.5 years.. Mine started in 2 places wrist and and under arm on the same side. It spread in these areas after a year then it went mad and other than my chest and face it's every where and looks horrid. Doctored don't seem to have any good ideas to treat it. I am so gutted not to be able to put on dresses and short sleaves with out comments from people. Am trying b12 tablets. 3 days into it.

I think I will try the vitamins and also no gluten. It spread so quickly and is still going. Its on my neck, legs, arms, back, chest, stomach. EVERYWHERE. I'm thankful nothing has shown up on my face yet, but I think I might have it on my scalp behind my ears. It looks so similar to ringworm with it being dry on the surface, and itchy. But with that being highly contiguous, and no one else in my family has it so I know I don't have that on top of also having GA. Some spots are just the raised bumps and don't itch. My Dr. Told me I have the even more uncommon type, whatever that is.
