Dry mouth

So I've developed dry mouth I think. I've never dealt with this before. I have a doc appt and dentists schedule to see. I was really worried and thought I had thrush or something because my tongue is white but it doesn't scrape off or gave creamy things like thrush is. My tongue always feels dry though and kind of irritated from it. I feel better when eating, drinking, or sucking on candy. I really don't know what is from this virus anymore and what isn't.
