Dry red marks on penile shaft and random red spot on head

I recently had some dry redness pop up on my penile shaft and a random red spot show up on the head of my penis. I don't have any burning sensations when I pee or otherwise. I took a HSV test this past Monday and am waiting on the results, just curious if anyone else has come across this. I honestly don't know if it is herpes or something else, there are no blisters or discomfort. and I have never had anything like this show up prior. Any words of advice? Thanks.
