Dry throat no reflux or acid as I am on lazoprasole

I take lansoprazole and do not eat before going to bed. A fews ago I ate cereal and went straight to bed and the cereal came back up as a one off. I dont have reflux or acid though and I am eating normally and all functions ok but have a very dry throat any ideas?

    Hi friend, sorry you had the cereal revisit.  That had to be scary.  Do you have sinus drainage or any allergies?  I have seen Oncologists tell throat cancer patients to suck on gummy bears for dry throat sometimes (if you have no problem with sugar) as some ingredient in them they can moisturize the throat.  You can try an ear nose and throat doctor.  Have you ever been checked for a hiatal hernia?

    Hoarseness, both chronic and that comes and goes, can definitely be from acid reflux.  Have you had a scope to see if you have a hiatal hernia?  There is also a type called respiratory reflux.  Allergies can also contribute with sinus drainage if you have that also.

    It's probably been irritated from the food  reflux I'm sure it will get better in a few days

      My gp told me yesterday that my anxiety and stress could cause more acid.
