Dtinnitus

i had my ear syringed a week ago. It was very quickly carried out, probably less than 5 seconds. Two days later I got tinnitus. I went back and saw a different doctor, who couldn't see anything wrong but nevertheless gave me some drops to put in. They don't seem to be doing any good. Surely a procedure carried out at the doctors cannot cause permanent tinnitus? Should I go back and ask to see an ENT specialist?

Ear wax is to protect inner ear and eardrum from incoming debris and inscects etc.  Removing them makes inner ear vurnable.  To much of it indicates many things such as too much contaminants coming in or regulatory system of producing ear wax is compromised through disease or stress.  The best doctor is a patient himself.  You have to monitor and record the tinnitus situation such as progression and what causing it.  Record the stress level every day and after few months you will see a pattern.  If tinnitus is getting better then it means some healing is taking place and you have to give it some time because nature does not heal on demand.  If tinnitus does not get better, then you have permanent tinnitus and you have to find a good doctor to help you with it.
