I get a dull ache around this area that goes to my back around 3 hours after eating. Is this common for gallbladder problems? Blood tests came back as normal

Blood test don't really gauge what your gallbladder condition is. You need a c.f. scan. And ultra sound. Try eating a diet free diet for a couple of weeks . if you feel even slightly better I think you have gallbladder disease. Hey Good Luck to you.

I find it disconcerting that many people suffer from serious gall bladder problems that are often diagnosed when the situation is dire. This of course may be because the sufferer does not consult timely enough.
If certain gallstones are diagnosed Ursodioxycholic acid tabs are widely prescribed in th USA which dissolve the stones but this treatment is not for all but should at least be offered. All research should be read on the various sites on the internet but many doctors will disagree with that statement. They do not like being asked for something they are not conversant with but that is not to say Ursodioxycholic acid does not work because it does work admirably so for some. I still have a gall bladder with no symptoms because I took notice of a few doctors from the USA and here in the UK the chemists know full well that Urso does work for some.....
It pays in my view to keep an open mind and talk to a doctor who knows YOU and is prepared to give the urso a go based on his knowledge of YOU and his clinical knowledge of URSO.......

I had constant pain under right rib cage and round back up between shoulder blades. All my blood tests came back normal, had CT scan, MRI scan and ultra sound that came back as normal. I had a good consultant that was adamant that I,had a gallbladder problem. He operated 12months ago and found that I,had an enlarged and badly diseased gallbladder. I would keep pushing to,have the gallbladder removed. Majority of,the time I am fine, can’t eat big meals anymore otherwise I get pains where gallbladder was. Not a bad thing as I have managed to lose weight which is a positive.

Hi Mathew, I have had that same problem for quite a few months now. All tests came back fine except for swollen duodenum and swollen stomach with bile in it as well. I am so sick after I eat. Usually comes on within an hour or less. Having a Hida scan on Tuesday and I hope it shows something. Keep trying to get answers from your doc cause if what I am reading on here is correct, sometimes they don't see much with these tests and it can still be gallbladder trouble. I want mine out as I kinow how sick I feel and hope it will be an option. Good luck and let us know how you make out. I know it seems like lots of tests but you, like I, need tyo get feeling better.

When I had a gallbladder problem, I suffered with the pain through my back on the right hand side, it wasn't sore at the front when pressed like they say it should be, I had a blood test and they told me it was clear but as a scan was already booked I went ahead and they then discovered I did in fact have gallstones. Try a no fat diet for a week or two and see if it improves, I tried to have no more than 10g of fat per day whilst waiting to have mine removed.
