Dull Ache - Lower left side?

I have been dealing with notable BPH issues the last 3.5 years. Along with the usual urinary symptoms has been this dull ache that comes and goes on my lower left side near where my bladder would be, maybe slightly above. I have read people mention something similar in various forum posts about BPH. Even though I had a conservative TURP done about 3 months ago, the dull ache still comes and goes. The last couple weeks it has been more persistent and bothersome. I seem to remember that while I was on alfuozin for a short time before my surgery the ache went away(although my memory is a bit fuzzy). I am wondering if this is a symptom of my bladder still working too hard even though I have had a TURP. Anyone else experience this and know what may cause it. Did it go away with medication or surgery? My stream still seems strong during the day. My voids are typically about 250ml. If I hold it longer and get past one or two strong urges to urninate, I can go 300-350ml.
