Dupuytren's Contracture

My father had this condition and so did my late sister. I experienced it briefly a year or two ago but at the age of 66 I am expecting it to come back owing to my family history.

Xiaflex opened my fingers. Surgery do not do it wail cause he thickened facia tissue to flair and be worse.

also needling cutting thru the thickened tissue is helpful a some stages of he disease.

also law dose radiation on nodgules in the hand before thicken tissue appears can slow down the diseas.

always wear a splint nightly for prevention.

See a hand specialist experienced in treating DC.

    always Always protect your hands.

I've just had my second Dupuytren lump removed by surgery on the right hand in a different spot.

The second one was a much bigger, more severe "knot" that grew very quickly.

Though both lumps did not make my fingers curl over, they both cause a lot of pain as a burning sensation.

I have also had both carpal tunnels done. Again, there were sharp pains similar to electric shocks travelling up my fingers in both hands.

After surgery for the first Dupuytren and both carpal tunnels, I have been pain free since.
