Had a steroidinjection in knee on 1 May. on 8 developed dvt behind knee anyone else had this problem

    sorry never heard of it i have had many steriod injections but never had a problem with them  so hopefully you can find help here

    I've had several too, but never heard of any DVT's either

    I've never heard of a DVT behind the knee as it's in the main vein in your leg which runs down the inside of your leg..not behind.

      Can assure you the clot is in popliteal vein directly behind knee, have seen it on ultra sound.  That is why I was asking question as the only thing can think to have caused it may have been from steroid injestion or the ability to use knee properly after the injection for the first time in long while

    I don't know the steroid injection goes Into the joint space... the DVT is in the vein  which isn't touched when you get the needle more Likey a coincidence ..
