DVT in both legs/PE.Stomach swollen, seems like full of gas.

Stomach swelling gets worse when I try to walk too much. Not sure if DVT's are all clear or still there. Doctor no help.

Does anyone know why this swelling has occured?

Karen I understand how you feel.  Ive had 3 DVT's and had a very tricky pathway to help that I'm still not getting!

Thank you so much for your reply. It does very much seem like one is all alome with no guidance sometimes, so although I'm sorry others have this problem, I'm also grateful I'm not the only one, if that makes sense. Maybe it's because they don't know what to do, but a simple I don't know would have been better I think.

Hi I'm in the same position . I've been to see my gp as I look full term pregnant . My stomach is hard as a rock too . Apparently rivaroxaban can cause acid build up .She had took my blood to rule out H Pylori etc and I am having an abdominal scan next week as I also have clots in the abdomen and she just wants to check everything is ok .

Hi All, I have written about my son and his post operative huge dvt in his leg in the last few months. He has symptoms of pain and swelling in his leg and is under the care of Mr Stephen Black at Guys and St Thomas London as they are doing specialist vascular treatment to reduce the symptoms. He has had several types of scan and they are going to put in a stent in his vein to open up the vein which is scarred to improve the blood flow. Hopefully he should have a more normal leg again. Hope this helps.

      Hi

I'm so sorry your tummy sounds in a worse position than mine. lol.

I think apart from the pain and discomfort, I hate walking around looking so huge. I'm also being booked in for an abdominal scan, although no date yet. I hope your go ok...keep in touch and let me know how it's going. Are you called Basset mammy cos you live in Basset? If so I'm not that far away, in Chippenham.
