If it is, for instance, just above the diaphragm or elsewhere in the oesophagus, it might be caused by, amongst many other things, a tumour / GIST etc. If it is because of motility problems then there is an Achalasia group as part of the Oesophageal Patients Association. Or it might be a problem higher up in the pharynx / throat.
I think signposting to support groups can probably best b done by the staff in the clinic where your problem has been diagnosed?
