    Hi Julie

All figures sound fine to me.

I have a GFR of 9 and half a thyroid due to a tumour.

You've just got to keep positive.

Nobody has a 100% GFR unless they're superhuman.

Keep strong and keep those negative thoughts at bay.

They're not going to help you.

GFR numbers fluctuate. The doctor can literally take 10 different vials of blood from you in one day and each and every one of them would give you a different GFR. One would be 48 .. one would be around 53 ... one would be around 60. Your gfr is constantly fluctuating. My doctor said so many factors come in to play.. as to what you ate before(high protein) or allot of salt in your diet .. did you work out before testing .. hydration ..time of day of testing depending on when you ate last .. and labs (how long your blood sat before being tested) etc Your numbers and fluctuations are exactly where my numbers are . It's so hard not to obsess about the number when it's 48 but then you will get a test and it's 60.. Mine have even gone up to 70 and then back down again. Even though I know my numbers fluctuate I still hate seeing the 48 .. I wanna see the 60 or 65 .. but my nephrologist has assured me time and time again that I am just fine ... it's easier said then done though as I still worry about it. I think your just fine too 😄
