Ear ache/infection

After I came back from Spain this August, I realized that I started to get consistent ear aches. I went to the doctors and they prescribed me with ear drops. After 3 months of using them I decided to stop using the ear drops as my ear was now completely fine. That was when the ear aches came back. Since then I haven't been to the doctors and I have had to deal with lots of daily ear aches. Even though I'm going back to the doctors, I want to find out how serious it is before. Does anyone know what type of ear infection it is. (By the way I have no idea if there even is types of ear infections). Also, I have started to deal with very minor hearing loss, so I'm starting to get worried that it will get worse. Any advise would be helpful thanks.

Hello,  To have an earache for this long isn't normal and I would recommend you go

back to see your doctor and tell him.  Maybe you need oral antibiotics.  You could

potentially have an abscess.....go get it checked out.

Forgot to mention Emir, if you read the leaflet in the box of ear drops, you will probably

read that they shouldn't be used for too long as they can cause deafness.
