Ear Constantly Popping

My right ear has been driving me absolutely bonkers with this "clack" "crack" "pop" sound whenever I twitch the side of my face or swallow. The ear itself doesn't hurt, but I do get pain on the side of my face. The pain is manageable with a painkiller and isn't severe. What bugs me is this popping, because I already have sensory issues, so the noise is very aggravating and painful to hear. (I am autistic.) I just want to hear silence again. My ear itself works fine, it's just this popping that bugs me.

They looked in my ear. Apparently it's fine. Hearing passed, normal pressure. I did have an xray after an ENT suspected TMJ and there was a wierd wisdom tooth that they are keeping an eye on for 4 months. When I press bellow my ear roughly where the TMJ is it seems to turn into a grinding, so that might be it.

I grind my teeth and my jaw clicks and pops out of place and I can get little clicking noises in my ear. Sometimes when I chew something crunchy my ears pop. So maybe it is to do with that. I also get a clicking shoulder blade and neck. which I think is related to my bruxism.

I had this popping, clicking, cracking every time I swallow or sneeze. I had this since I was 10 years old and I an now 28. I only realised about a year and a half ago that it was part of a series of symptoms when I started to get ear pain in my right ear along with feeling dizzy, being off balance, my ear feeling full and my hearing was muffled. Doctors tried me on nasal sprays and antihistamines but the symptoms carried on. 8 months of my right ear, it then started in my left ear. I went to an ENT Specialist who diagnosed me with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. I had a grommet operation on both ears. The operation relieved the pressure and my haring got better but I still have the pain. I am now getting a second opinion as the doctors now its says not ETD! I am now nearly 2 years with ear pain and still popping and crackling.

Dont leave it as long as me. Doctors will try and fob you off with 'take painkillers and give it a few weeks/months' just to get rid of you. Ask to be refereed to an ENT specialist as soon as possible.
