Ear feels water logged for days.

I always go to the doctor once a year and get my ears irrigated with a water syringe due to ear wax. My ears will feel water logged, I go to the doctor they syringe out a big piece of wax, I get a little pop and my ear are cleared. This has been going on for years. About 6 months ago they had trouble getting some of the wax and told me next time to use Debroxm Sleep in it with a cotton ball overnight to soften the wax and then come in for the irrigation next time. This week I did that, the wax came out in one flush, they said everything is removed, however, my ears are still water logged. The doctor said it will go away in an hour, that was two days ago. I have tried alcohol/vinegar solution to dry it out. Do I need to contact a specialist?
