Hi Ana I understand your worry I had same symptoms as you. Not meningitis but turned out to be an auto immune disorder inflammatory in nature. Ask for the following blood tests esr crp and ana and check if they are raised. Good luck

hi, Ana, the confusing this is your blood tests can be clear (as mine often are) and you can still have auto immune disease. A doctor should understand that really but sometimes they don't seem to. They can also change over time. It is a difficult thing to diagnose. I think this is more likely, the chronic nature of it suggests that. Not likely to be meningitis but a kind of inflammation you can get in the meninges. Doesn't show up in scans sadly. I had it for years. Took a long time to be diagnosed properly.

hi, I have seen various doctors along the way. I was diagnosed by an immunologist and have also seen a rheumatologist and a specialist in vasculitis. I am not sure where you live otherwise I could recommend someone to you. If you are in the UK that is easier for me as I am based in London. Outside of the UK I am not so sure about where you'd go but can recommend organisations you could get in touch with who might make helpful suggestions about where you could go for a proper diagnosis.

OK, contact the Vasculitis Foundation of the United States and hopefully they can have a chat with you. In fact if you look at their website I think they have a search facility for good specialists in your are you can look state by state on an interactive map. Good luck

      Hi Ana

I have had synositis and anxiety and body aches for about five years. Doctors could not diognose what was wrong with me . I researched for five years finally realized it is a hormone imbalance. Since I am a nurse,I asked my gynechologist to test me for strogen level. becase I was angry and nervous and had negative taught and anxiety. Finally they said you have low strogen level. She started hormone therapy for early monoposal. After two weeks my anxiety was gone and with the wright diet the inflamation gratually went away. I started to take soy milk instead of dairy product and fennel seed.( ground it and mix one tea spoon with honey and a little hot water and take it every day) fennel seed acts like strogen in women´s body. take what ever has strogen like effect every day. Like Almond, dates, apple. Avoid GMO food. GMO free food helps to get ride of synous problem and inflamation. I also take some termuric and sinemon and cumin with the fennel and honey. I mixed all of them and grounded them and take some with honey every day. I add some soy milk for taste and drink it with straw . Becase termuric make the teeth yellow. This helps to get ride of inflamation and not to get sick at all. Avoid the sprays with drugs because fter while they have adverse effect and make your symptoms worse. The best thing is rinse your nose with NeilMed sailine spray.

All of these helped me to be axiety free and cure my synous. If ghe synous did not cure completely you need to do MRI to see if you need synous surgery. I did that too.

I hope these informations are helpful. Becase I understand you. I suffered for five years and I love to help othes no to suffer like me.
