Ear or brain or nerves issue?

Around 2 months ago, i had a normal cold. This cleared up. Then i had sudden lightheadness, a lot of heaviness in my left ear and i felt very ill.

2 months on, my main symptoms are: Lightheadedness (has decreased slowly since first time 2 months ago), Heaviness/pressure in left ear/head, Occasional popping/crackling in left ear, Since the illness struck I have had more frequent bowel movements, I also have twitchy/bubbly feeling on occasion in my calf muscles more noticeable at night. I am more fatigued than usual especially in the evening. My sleeping is not great recently, waking up sometimes 3 or 4 times a night. Very occasional chest tightness. Eyesight – was sensitive to light at beginning of illness, now my eyes sometimes water up and it can be hard to focus.

I am 27 years old and very active. I ran a marathon in April and run a lot in general. This illness has made training more difficult and my ability to perform at my usual high levels.

Not usually with a cold but flu type illnesses can give you post viral fatigue syndrome that can drag on for months.
