Ear Pain/Fullness

Six months ago, my left ear started feeling full and painful. i went to my primary care doctor who decided to clean it out with water which i later learned can be damaging to the ear. The water was SO painful. i had terrible insurance so i waited until January and went to an ENT because it is still painful and sensitive to sound and water. They ran a few tests (pressure test and a hearing test and everything is normal. any ideas?
